You write so well, Obinna. It’s great reading from you again.

I wanted to comment on your last newsletter but something happened along the line and I lost track of my thoughts. I’m glad I can finish up with this comment today.

It’s great that you have joined a “tribe”. I like the sound of it. I wish I have one close to me that I can join too.

Over the past few years, I have realised firsthand how important good association and network is. As someone that is greatly influenced by people, I long daily to place myself within the right set of people and I hope God help me.

Again, it’s great reading from you again and I can’t wait for next week’s newsletter.

Kudos!

Thank you so much, Vicky, for the kind words and for reading, too. I'm sorry about whatever distracted your thoughts last week. I have a feeling it must have been hard to deal with, but I hope this week has been only better for you.

About longing for healthy, godly interactions, I know the feeling too well. But even if your church doesn't host Tribes or something similar, I know you have some good Christian friends you can start with (and I can think of one in particular--I won't mention her name here because of privacy, but I know you know who I mean).

You, she, and one or more friends could decide to meet up once or twice a week to fellowship or study the Bible together. I trust that once you take the first step, God will provide you with the wisdom on what to do next and how to get the right people involved.

Yes, I know the friend you’re talking about. Funny how I haven’t thought of starting my own but rather of joining an already established one.

Thank you for this insight.

Anytime, Vicky. Anytime.

But just so you know, now that you've admitted it's a good idea, I'll be in your DM one of these days to know how things are going. 😊

I always look forward to reading your newsletter, Obinna.

The last episode was amazing even though I couldn't comment due to some reasons. I thank God for using you to bless people like me.

I hope you're doing better now.

I discovered that since I gained admission into the university, I stopped having time for God. Using studies as an excuse. I knew I should be busy with God's service, but I just didn't have the time, or so I thought.

Recently, I joined a department in church after the Holy Spirit kept impressing it in my heart not to be idle. And I discovered that everything is working. I even understand whatever I read now more than before. And God has been faithful!

Everything is great, I've got peace and joy, and I feel more relaxed now.

I pray God continues to help us overcome our anxieties and fears and also help us come out of our comfort zones.

Do have a wonderful week ahead. God bless you.

Thank you so much for sharing all these, Joy. I'm doing a bit better now, though I'm still recuperating. But I trust that I should feel better on Sunday. Sadly, I have so much work cut out for me until Sunday evening, and the stress isn't making things easier for my health. Still, thank you so much for your concern.

It's so interesting to see how much your experience and comment relates to what my next newsletter will be about. I'm just so glad that you eventually yielded to the Holy Spirit and took intentional steps towards prioritizing God in your life. I think God for your peace and joy, and I hope he helps you guard it righteously.

Wishing you a wonderful, fulfilling, God-filled weekend ahead.

Having a tribe of fellow believers is an asset in this age where iniquity abounds. God gave me the gift of 6 women from church about 2 years ago. We call ourselves The Tribe, or My Real Village People 🤣🤣🤣 But trust me, no one is funnier or likes enjoyment like these ones. No one wars harder with you in the place of prayer, or holds you accountable (especially in your walk of purity), or inspire you to get better in your career or skill. It's a whole vibe with these babes. Lovely meals. Great gist. Real empathy. Deep insights to life from God's word. . . Quality humans... all children of God. Wo, Obinna, you're in safe space. Enjoy your tribe.

Honestly, good Christian friends are the absolute best and godly relationships are worth fighting for. I'm so very glad you have six very good Christian friends outside social media that you can always count on. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have a similar testimony someday. 😌

I definitely think that many people don't think 'Christians' and 'fun' go together. But, they do! It's true that what some people consider fun might not mean the same for us believers. However, we definitely know how to let loose and enjoy ourselves with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

I've recently (well, some months ago, but it feels recent) joined two different Church groups and I think that some of the things done or discussed might raise some eyebrows but we're having fun doing it together. It helps to have spirit-minded people to keep you on the right side of things when you might go 'too' out there.

I completely agree, especially because I know firsthand how easy it can be to start out with good intentions only to get carried away and overindulge yourself in all that pleasure. But that's why we need to be on guard and VERY intentional about the people we keep around us. Granted, everyone is prone to overindulgence to some extent. But when your friends are naturally not too given to pleasure, the chances of them “grounding“ you when you get carried away are higher than otherwise.
